Frenchtown Riding Club offers a full calendar of events, designed to reflect the many aspects of the equestrian experience and satisfy the diverse interests of its members

HAPPY HOUR

Every Thursday, from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m.

​

Join us for Happy Hour every Thursday from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m., with complementary light snacks and refreshments. BYOB, if you wish. BYOH ("Bring Your Own Horse"), too, and enjoy our spacious indoor and outdoor arenas, explore our trails, or just hang out and enjoy the company of fellow horse lovers. This event is free and open to all (including nonmembers). Riding lessons, scheduled in advance, are also available, on your horse or ours, at the normal fee.               

 

Must be 21+ to BYOB. Helmets & liability waiver required for all riders. Coggins required for all horses.

SATURDAY MORNING SCHOOLING SHOW

​The sixth show of our 2025 Saturday Morning Schooling Show series is open to FRC members and nonmembers alike. Join us for a lovely summer Saturday of sun, fun and horses. FRC'S THIRD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Sunday, October 19th, 3:00-6:00

Save the date. Our third anniversary blow-out is free, family-friendly, and open to all FRC members. In keeping with tradition, the Dave Blair Band will provide the music, while brother Dan mans the grill. This year’s entertainment also includes a mechanical bull, so members should arrive ready for adventure! Invitations with details to follow soon. (Not a member yet? What are you waiting for? DE-SPOOKING CLINIC

Saturday, October 25th, 3:00-6:00

What better time than October for a de-spooking clinic? Help your horse to be brave in the face of things that go bump in the night – or flutter in the breeze – or rustle on the trail, with this three-hour desensitization clinic by veteran de-spooker Denise Buchanan. $40 for FRC members, $70 for nonmembers, $20 to audit. FALL PHOTO SHOOT

Always wanted a beautiful portrait with your favorite equine partner? Now’s the time. Take advantage of the fall foliage or go for a holiday theme. Black backgrounds and gorgeous garlands included at no charge. Overlays also available. DRIVE-IN MOVIE NIGHT

Happy Hour + Gate Night = Halloween Drive-In Movie Night!

In honor of Halloween, FRC’s regular Thursday Happy Hour will be replaced by a drive-in movie in the indoor arena, with Ghost Busters (rated PG-13), hot dogs, popcorn, candy, and soda. This family-friendly event is free to all FRC members and just $15 per person for nonmembers. No reservation required.

MEET MUGGLES, THE MYSTERY-SOLVING MINI

Saturday, November 1st, 3:00-6:00

Meet Muggles, the real-life star of Muggles and the Case of the Missing Cat Food. Muggles owner, author Jamie DeFazio Guiberson, will read an excerpt from their latest barn mystery, answer readers’ questions about Muggles and his friends, and sign books. Then Muggles will pose for photos and treat everyone to a mini carriage ride. Hot cocoa and cookies in our cozy barn will make this magical afternoon complete. $10 per child member rate, $20 per child nonmember rate, adults free. Advance reservations strongly encouraged. FALL (is) FOR HORSES MINI CAMP

Thursday, November 6th & Friday, November 7th

Take advantage of the last of the autumn weather, while making the most of the two-day school closure. This mini horse camp is the perfect bite-sized adventure, with daily group riding lessons and immersive horse care experience, plus arts and crafts, games, and other activities. Available as a half (9:00-noon, $225), full (9:00-3:00, $400) or extended (8:30-5:30, $600) day. FRC members enjoy a 10% discount. Advance registration required. As fall fades into winter, we’ll take advantage of the colder nights and the earlier sunsets by hunkering down in our cozy, heated lounge to enjoy a move together. Wanna help pick the perfect flick?
