Frenchtown Riding Club offers a full calendar of events, designed to reflect the many aspects of the equestrian experience and satisfy the diverse interests of its members.

HAPPY HOUR
Every Thursday, from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m.
​
Join us for Happy Hour every Thursday from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m., with complementary light snacks and refreshments. BYOB, if you wish. BYOH ("Bring Your Own Horse"), too, and enjoy our spacious indoor and outdoor arenas, explore our trails, or just hang out and enjoy the company of fellow horse lovers. This event is free and open to all. Riding lessons, scheduled in advance, are also available, on your horse or ours, at the normal fee.
Must be 21+ to BYOB. Helmets & liability waiver required for all riders. Coggins required for all horses.

EQUESTRIAN PHYSICAL THERAPY CLINIC
Saturday, May 3rd, 2:30 - 6:00 p.m.

​Equestrian physical therapy may be for you if:

You’re recovering from an injury
-
You have pain of any kind during or after riding
-
You’re returning to riding after having a baby
-
Riding in one direction is substantially harder than riding in the other
-
You have a hard time keeping your heels down or your hands quiet
-
Sitting to the trot is difficult
-
You frequently lose your stirrups
This clinic, by Danielle Shugard, Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-author of Body Conditioning for the Horse and Rider, will begin with an overview of the topic and a Q & A period, followed by 45-minute private sessions, each consisting of both mounted and unmounted assessments, with individual recommendations for stretches and/or exercises.
Details: Includes light refreshments. BYOB welcome. Individual sessions must be scheduled in advance. Coggins required for haul-ins.
Location: Indoor arena

Cost: $125 per FRC member, $150 per nonmember, no charge to audit. $60 additional fee for use of FRC horse during mounted assessment.

INTRO TO POLO CLINIC
Saturday, May 10th, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
​
​Polo. Often called “the sport of kings” and the world’s most addictive sport. Try it for yourself at this exciting, hands-on clinic by Tinicum Polo Club’s own Hesham El-Gharby. The afternoon begins with an overview, followed by a demonstration, after which riders may practice their technique, first on the ground, then from atop a metal horse, and, finally, while mounted on a real polo pony.

Details: This clinic is appropriate for all levels and includes light refreshments. BYOB welcome. Advance registration strongly suggested but not required. Call or email to reserve your spot.

SADDLE FITTING CLINIC
Saturday, May 31st, 2:30 - 6:00 p.m.
​
Presented by Eloedie Leyens, Saddle Expert for Devoucoux, this clinic will educate you on everything you always wanted to know about the art and science of saddle fitting, including how to evaluate a saddle’s fit and why the correct fit is so important for the comfort, well-being, and performance of both horse and rider.
Details: This clinic includes light refreshments. BYOB welcome. Advance registration suggested but not required. Call or email to reserve your spot. Private, one-on-one saddle fitting consultations are also available with advance scheduling. Please call or email to arrange. Proof negative Coggins required for haul-ins.
